Why choose our customization service?
UNIQUE DESIGN:
Each piece of customized lighting is unique and distinctive, perfectly showing your personality.
Personalized style:
To meet your personalized decorative needs, perfect fit with your home style.
High-quality materials:
We use high-quality materials to ensure the quality and durability of our customized lightings.
1. Room Functionality and Needs
First and foremost, consider the functionality of the room. Different rooms have different lighting needs. For example, the living room may require ambient lighting, while the kitchen needs brighter task lighting. Dining rooms often require adjustable lighting for various occasions.
2. Style and Decor
The style of the chandelier should align with your home decor. If your decor leans towards modern, opt for chandeliers with clean lines and geometric shapes. For a more traditional setting, classic chandeliers or crystal fixtures may be more suitable.
3. Size and Height
The size and height of the chandelier are critical. An overly small chandelier may not provide sufficient illumination, while an overly large one can disrupt the room’s harmony. As a general guideline, the bottom of the chandelier should hang about 30 to 36 inches above the floor.
Small Rooms (Small Bedrooms, Entryways, Bathrooms):
Room Size: Typically, small rooms have dimensions of around 10 feet (3 meters) or smaller.
Chandelier Size: Opt for a chandelier with a diameter of approximately 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45 centimeters). This size provides ample illumination without overwhelming the small space.
Medium-Sized Rooms (Living Rooms, Bedrooms, Kitchens, Dining Rooms):
Room Size: Medium-sized rooms usually have dimensions ranging from 10 to 20 feet (3 to 6 meters).
Chandelier Size: Choose a chandelier with a diameter of around 18 to 24 inches (45 to 60 centimeters). This size suits medium-sized rooms, offering good illumination without appearing too large or too small.
Large Rooms (Large Living Rooms, Dining Rooms, Great Rooms):
Room Size: Large rooms typically have dimensions exceeding 20 feet (6 meters).
Chandelier Size: In larger rooms, you can opt for larger chandeliers with diameters exceeding 24 inches (60 centimeters). Some large living rooms might even consider using multiple chandeliers or large ceiling fan lights to ensure uniform lighting.
Special Considerations:
Purpose and Ceiling Height: The room’s purpose and ceiling height are also factors to consider when selecting chandelier size. For instance, in a dining room, the chandelier should be centered over the dining table and should not hang too low to obstruct views. In rooms with lower ceilings, opting for smaller chandeliers can prevent a crowded feel.
Multiple Fixture Combinations: For large rooms, consider using multiple chandeliers or ceiling fan lights to ensure even illumination. This can also enhance the overall visual impact of the room.
Adjustable Chandeliers: Some chandeliers come with adjustable heights, allowing you to customize the chandelier’s height and brightness as needed to accommodate different scenarios.
Most importantly, when choosing a chandelier, consider the room’s proportions, function, and personal preferences to ensure that it not only meets lighting needs but also complements the overall room design.
