The OX is a premium reactive load box and recording system. When playing your best tube amp, the OX effectively captures your tonal sweet spots, from your favorite cleans to breakups and everything in between. The magic in the OX comes from its ability to capture these tones at any volume level with mic, room, and speaker cabinet emulations at the turn of a knob. Universal Audio's Dynamic Speaker Modeling plays a main role in this equation to emulate speaker drive, breakup, and cone cry, effectively making it a premier speaker attenuator and guitar amplifier recording solution.
With the Universal Audio OX, players can play and record their tube amps in their favorite sweet spots at any volume with full dynamics. In addition, the OX opens up a world of rig emulation with different mic and guitar cabinet model combinations. Universal Audio's Dynamic Room Modeling expands on this technology even further for authentic speaker interaction.
The front panel of the OX features intuitive controls for a seamless experience. Six RIG settings give the player different configurations of models of cabinets and microphones. An added software app designed for the OX allows for wireless control over the OX's RIG settings. The software has capabilities to create and recall hundreds of presets with six presets programmable to the physical RIG knob on the OX. The OX has a power handling of 150W RMS and impedance of 4, 8, and 16 ohms. It is equipped with one 1/4" speaker output, two 1/4" outputs to line or monitor, one 1/4" headphone out, and is powered by an included 12V DC 1.5A power supply.
