Discover the profound insights of Sean Wilentz's groundbreaking book, 'No Property in Man,' an essential exploration of the United States Constitution and its intricate relationship with slavery. This critically acclaimed work, a New York Times Book Review Editors' Choice and a Foreign Affairs Best Book of the Year, dives deep into the political history that forged our nation's founding document. Wilentz meticulously examines the compromises made by the Founding Fathers, illustrating how their ambiguous stance on slavery resulted in a legacy of conflict that endured through the Civil War.With compelling arguments that challenge the Southern proslavery narrative, ‘No Property in Man’ reveals how figures like Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass interpreted the Constitution as a tool against slavery, emphasizing the framers' refusal to endorse it as a principle. This book is not just a historical study; it is a vital reconsideration of a pivotal issue in American history that continues to resonate today.
Wilentz's passionate and insightful analysis is essential for anyone looking to understand the complexities of slavery's impact on American legal and political landscapes. Join this critical debate about the antislavery legacy of the Constitution and its misconstructions over two centuries. These socks are wonderful!
I was wanting toeless socks to wear at night when I sleep. I put moisturizer on my feet before I go to sleep and wanted socks to hold in the moisturizer. But, I cannot stand having a sock that covers my whole foot. So, I thought, gee, I wonder if they make socks that do not have toes? Well, I found some that have a gel pad, got those, and hated them. They felt awful and I couldn't sleep with them on. Finally, though, I came across these socks -- no gel pad, no toes. They are wonderful. They have enough hold to stay on my feet all night, but are very comfortable. In fact, when I get them on my feet, I forget they are even there. They are soft and well-made and have really cute colors/patterns. I understand that they are probably for exercise/yoga/pilates classes, but I find them perfect for my needs. I love them!

GENIUS IDEA !❤
I'm a nurse and on my feet for 10 hours a day. I wear nursing clogs but really don't like to wear socks. I feel like they smother my feet. These allowed me to wear socks but have my toes free and it feels wonderful!

Perfect for Dry Heels
I'm at the house all day and run around without shoes on, so these fit my needs perfectly. I bought these socks because I'm applying lotion to my dry heels and wanted to cover them up afterwards. At the same time, I didn't want to cover up my toes because that's a good way to get toenail fungus.
The quality is good, and I like that these socks aren't real thick or too thin. They seem like they'll hold up well.
