Prepare for more high-stakes, Shakespearean-inspired mayhem with No Holds Bard Vol. 2: The First Folio. Written by Eric Gladstone and featuring the dynamic art of Geoffo (Marvel’s Avengers, Iron Man), this volume continues the irreverent and action-packed adventures of the world's most dangerous playwright. Published by Behemoth Comics (now Sumerian), this series is a must-read for fans of historical satire, over-the-top action, and witty, literary-themed brawls.
This copy is Brand New, making it a perfect addition for readers who love Bardsworth, Shakespeare Republic, or anyone who thinks a quill is mightier when used as a dagger.
The Play’s The Thing (And the Thing is Deadly)
William Shakespeare isn't just a writer; he’s a man of action with a very specific set of skills. In Volume 2, the stakes for the "First Folio" reach a fever pitch as the line between Elizabethan drama and street-level vigilantism blurs.
-
Literary Action: Eric Gladstone masterfully weaves Shakespearean tropes and famous quotes into a fast-paced narrative that feels like a Guy Ritchie film set in the 16th century.
-
Kinetic Art: Geoffo’s art style brings a modern, comic-book energy to the period setting, featuring expressive characters and fluid fight choreography that leaps off the page.
-
Satirical Wit: The series balances its brutal action with a sharp, satirical edge, poking fun at the theater world while honoring the legacy of the Bard.
