Monarch Butterfly Pendant Necklace -- Danaus plexippus
With multiple generations of monarchs migrating northward in summer, then back to California and Mexico overwintering colonies, this butterfly is both beautiful and strong. Sadly, overwintering areas for migratory Monarchs are being encroached upon, and the long term viability of certain populations is at risk.
All of our specimens are sourced from farms working with healthier east coast populations. West coast migratory populations are struggling, and in 2019 we only saw two in northern Oregon.
