The Vintera series has always focused on offering players the look, feel, and tone of Fender instruments from the '50s, '60s, and '70s with decade specific specs and finishes. With Vintera III, Fender has finetuned the decades into 3 distinct eras: early, mid, and late, allowing players to find their perfect fit.

The Vintera III Late '50s Stratocaster has been carefully crafted to replicate a regular, run-of-the-mill Strat you'd find in the late 1950s. The alder body features the comfortable contoured double-cutaway design and is finished in Dakota Red, a custom color option first introduced in the late 1950s. Its alder body is extremely resonant, offering punch and clarity with beefy mids and strong low end.

For its neck, a 1-piece maple neck sports a Late '50s "D" shape profile and is attached to the body with a vintage-style 4-bolt neck plate. The maple fingerboard has a 7.25-inch radius and is accented by black dot inlays and 21 vintage-tall frets. The vintage-tall frets offer improved playability as they provide slightly more height for easier bends and wide vibrato.

The 1-ply white pickguard is loaded with a set of the newly designed Vintage-Style Late '50s Single-Coil pickups to deliver the warm, bell-like tone that made the Stratocaster famous. Tone can be further refined with the 5-way pickup selector switch, 2 tone controls, and master volume. The electronic plastics are a nice shade of parchment.

High quality hardware like the 6-point vintage-style tremolo system offers proper intonation and expressive pitch control. Strings are tuned to pitch with the vintage-style tuning machines with finer gear ratios that provide solid tuning stability. The Strat comes with deluxe gig bag for easy transportation or protection while in storage.
