I don't see my tablet listed under Compatible Devices — how do I know if it'll fit?
Measure your tablet (with its case, sleeve, or skin) against the dimensions in the Dimensions & Specifications section above. If it falls within those ranges, it'll fit.
The spec sheet shows a 10.25" max height — can I use a taller tablet?
Yes. The 260.4mm (10.25") max height only applies when the optional side support arms are fitted. Leave one arm off and the cradle can accommodate a taller tablet.
Can I mount this to an existing bicycle mount?
If your current mount uses a B, C, or D size round ball-and-socket component, yes — the X-Grip® cradle screws onto any of those standard bases.
Does this come with the ball needed to mount it?
No. The round plate with ball is sold separately. This cradle is compatible with B, C, or D size round plates — RAM-B-202U, RAM-202U, or RAM-D-254U — depending on which base you're pairing it with.
If I leave off the optional side support arms, can I still use the tablet in portrait orientation?
In light-duty or static setups, yes. For anything more demanding, keep at least one support arm under the tablet in portrait mode to stop it sliding down over time.
