The NUX Steel Singer Drive recreates the tonal character and warm saturation of one of the most sought-after amplifiers in history. Whether helping push tube amps to breakup, or generating drive by itself, this pedal delivers stunningly articulate overdrive with as much, or as little bite as you care to dial in.
Equipped with slightly more gain than similar pedals, this gives the Nux a higher level of versatility. However you dial in the gain, the drive timbre is rich and balanced, with remarkably smooth high-end and rounded mids.
Designed to enhance and elevate your sound, the all-analog circuitry delivers truly authentic tones, while the true bypass switching ensures optimum signal purity at all times. Get that steel string singer tone on an affordable budget with Nux.
Full Description
Vintage warmth, modern performance
The moment you plug into the NUX Steel Singer Drive, the sound is unmistakable. Rich saturation while retaining all the nuance of your playing supplements your tone, rather than replacing it. A straightforward control layout allows you to quickly shape your sound with minimal fuss:
- Volume - Adjust your overall level. With minimal gain, this can be used as a boost control.
- Filter - Alter the high-end frequency to tailor your treble. This allows you to fine-tune the brightness of the outputted signal.
- Gain - Controls the intensity of the overdrive. Lower levels deliver saturated warmth, while higher settings bring out the grit for slightly crunchier tones.
The simplicity means this pairs well with other pedals also. Add some edge to your dreamy reverb, give your chorus some bite, or give your dirt section a smoother foundation as the first gain stage. The robust housing means this pedal is built tour-ready and can handle the wear and tear of extensive use. This means whether on stage, in the studio, or just at home, the Steel Singer will always give your tone a lift when stomped on.
