The heat treated center balls are cross-drilled for thru-bolt lubrication and the joint internals are retained with 2 heavy duty, heat treated side washers and a snap ring. This specific joint is a 2 1/2 in. diameter, fitted with a zerk fitting for greasing, 2 1/4 in. of 1 1/4 in.-12 right hand threads on the shank, and a 2.812 in. mounting width ball with a .750 in. thru bolt hole. soft and cottony.
Soft, cottony, do not dissolve immediately.
I use these to soak my eyes with warm water and they hold well for the 4-5 times of soaking and putting on the eyelids ordered by my ophtamologist. They won't hold for more that 4-5 soaks though.
They are also excellent for eye make-up removal.

These cotton balls are large
Because these are so large, you only need one. They’re more expensive, but because you only need one, they go a long way. They’re worth the he price, I think. The ones I’ve bought that are cheaper & much smaller, you usually have to use 3-4 balls. Try ‘em you’ll love them!

Decent but not my favorite
I wish I hadn’t ordered such a large box of these but I’ll make them work. The little sleeve is a nice idea but my fingers still slide out when I’m using one for toner or to remove makeup. And the edges sometimes scratch my face, only the middle “pillow” part is soft. Overall very “meh” lol
