The Reverend Club King 290 is a standout in the Reverend lineup with its semi-hollow design, combine with P-90s that combine to deliver a unique sounding instrument that is further complemented by its sleek aesthetic.Boasting a tonewood commonly associated with acoustic guitars, the spruce found in the Club King's top brings a nuanced, resonant quality to the guitar's tone that sets it apart, pairing harmoniously with the medium-light Korina back and sides. The roasted maple neck of the Club King is heat-treated at over 300°F, providing above-average stability and also exhibiting a deep caramel color as a result of its treatment. On the neck, a dark rosewood fingerboard complements the deep black color of the body, and is divided by 22 total frets with dimensions of 0.110" W x 0.050" H.
Reverend takes pride in designing custom pickups, and the Club King 290 features pickups that are finely tuned to achieve a great tonal match with this instrument: two P-90 style 9A5 pickups, that offer a vintage-inspired tone that beautifully complements the body style of this instrument. Additional versatility comes from a passive bass roll-off, providing players the ability to tighten up the low end or re-voice the pickups.
The inclusion of the Bigsby Vibrato Bridge is where this guitar crosses the finish line. This iconic tailpiece allows for precise pitch modulation, adding a dynamic element to playing, and allows for players to choose their own adventure in their playing experience, based on the pickup selection and body style.

Ain't a better leader than Jesus.....
Format: Paperback
Seriously. Jesus really set the example of being an outstanding leader. His lifestyle demonstration of servant-leadership was pretty novel and has literally changed the world. Also, He wasn't a wuss and He set good boundaries. He truly let His Yes mean Yes - and His No meant No (and still does).
If you don't know Him as Lord, this book will help draw you into how amazing He was/is - and maybe then you'll want to know more and read His word??
I wasn't thrilled with all aspects of this book as I think they could have done better to draw some of the attributes of Jesus. But I don't have any disagreements or arguments with what they wrote. Maybe some was a bit weak (unlike Jesus....!) But it is def a good book if you are starting to study what was so great about Jesus as a leader. Gives good examples and provides the basic foundation of Him as a man and leading a diverse group of folks. And does well to apply to today's world and how you can apply these attributes.

Great Christian Leadership Book

Using this as a high school leadership text for our Lutheran High School. It gives a great template for discussion using the 4 H's of Head. Heart, Hands, and Habits! For any 4-H'ers out there, does that sound vaguely familiar?
