The Shure Beta 87A is a first-rate supercardioid handheld electret condenser vocal microphone that provides an exceptionally even frequency response and high sound pressure level capabilities. Designed for professional sound reinforcement, broadcasting, and studio recording settings, the Beta 87A merges exceptional performance with the resilience required for touring and field production.
The Beta 87A showcases a controlled low-frequency roll-off, counteracting proximity effect and avoiding the "boomy" sound frequently related to close pick-up. The distinct Shure presence lift enhances the upper midrange, while the precise supercardioid pattern, featuring null points around 125 degrees, ensures maximum separation from other singers or instruments and minimal off-axis tonal changes. The Beta 87A is powered by phantom power.
- Experience seamless frequency response and a gentle presence boost
- Superior supercardioid polar pattern delivers impressive gain-before-feedback
- Electronic low-frequency roll-off balances proximity effect
- Expansive dynamic range (117 dB) and low distortion characteristics
- Minimal vulnerability to RFI and electromagnetic interference
- Cutting-edge cartridge shock-mount system mitigates mechanical impacts and diminishes handling noise
- Integrated pop filter curbs unwanted wind and breath sounds
- Unrivaled Shure durability and dependability
