The Pro Varmint was designed by Boyds to meet the requests of our customers who were looking for an affordable tactical design for their rifles. The beavertail forend allows for greater stabilization off bags, but is still trim enough for general purpose shooting. The dual purpose butt hook allows for greater control of the stock and firearm, with your non-trigger hand, and allows for a better grip on the rear bag when shooting from the bench. The Monte Carlo comb brings the shooter's cheek up for use with larger scopes and comes with an ambidextrous grip that allows either hand to assume a more natural position. The slight palm swell on either side provides for a more comfortable grip.

Detailed coverage of Active Directory
Format: Kindle
I spent several years very close to active directory but haven’t followed developments in recent years. I was interested in this book as a refresher on what’s new in the last 8-10 years – and it did not disappoint. The chapter on Advanced AD Management with PowerShell does a great job providing some background, setting the stage for why we’d want to know this, and providing some brief descriptions of various cmdlets that might be needed. My last experience with PowerShell/Active Directory required the Quest module, so seeing these native cmdlets is a nice change. The chapter on AD FS is very detailed, providing a history of the functionality, deployment topologies and considerations, as well as details on configuring the required components. This is a topic I was not familiar with before seeing this book, and it did a good job bringing me up to speed on the feature. I have not made it all the way through this book, but the sections I have completed are very good. If you are looking for a thorough reference guide on the current state of Active Directory, you should check out this book.

If you purchased an earlier release of this book and was wondering if this one is worth getting, the answer is yes!! The biggest change is this edition thoroughly covers the latest and greatest, Windows Server 2022. It walks through security issues, the differences between this and previous versions of Windows Server and how to design and deploy a functional and secure Server 2022 Active Directory. I enjoyed reading through this book and highly recommend it!
