1947年にTRIFARIの広告に掲載された、"Goldenbraid(金髪の三つ編み)"ネックレス。PAT PEND(特許出願)の刻印がある貴重な一品です。

広告にはラプンツェルの物語の一節が引用され、"(中略)...never did she dream that her wondrous braid would be immortalized anew by TRIFARI. (彼女はその世にも美しい三つ編みが、TRIFARIによって新たに不朽のものとなるとは、夢にも思わなかったでしょう。)"と記されています。

金髪の三つ編みがモチーフとなったこの作品は、当時TRIFARAIが語ったとおり、75年経った現在も美しい状態で残っています。

上品なゴールドの光沢とゆるやかなに波打つような曲線が、金色の髪が美しく編まれた様を想像させるデザイン。

メタルはデコルテのカーブに滑らかに沿い、肌にしなやかにフィットする着け心地。留め具は、ネックレスの流れを損なわないようデザインされています。

この先も永く愛用していただける高いクオリティと、タイムレスな美しさを備えた逸品です。

"TRIFARI PAT PEND"は1932-1954年に使用されていた特許出願(PAT PEND)を意味する特別な刻印。当時ジュエリーデザインにはコピーライト(著作権)がなかったため、特許を申請してデザインを守っていました。主にAlfred Philippeデザインのアイテムに使用されています。

メタル全体に経年による若干の色褪せが見られますが、全体的には良好なヴィンテージコンディションです。

【TRIFARI(トリファリ)とは】
1918年創業のジュエリーカンパニー。1930～68年まで、ヴァン・クリーフやカルティエに在籍していたアルフレッド・フィリップ氏がデザイナーとして活躍し、トリファリはアメリカを代表するジュエリーメーカーへと成長しました。1950年代には、当時のアイゼンハワー大統領夫人が、大統領就任式でトリファリ社のジュエリーを着用したことでも有名に。優美な曲線を用いたエレガントなデザインは、現在も世界中のコレクターに愛されています。

Best flip-flops I've met

Right away I was impressed by the thichness and cushioning of these flip-flops. They are not a flimsy piece of rubber under my foot. The sole is more like that of an athletic shoe with layers and an impressive tread. I've always found that my heel sits too much on the back edge of flip-flops, or even over it. So I ordered these just a half size large and they're perfect. The foot cradling allows my heel to sit down inside the flip-flop comfortably and securely. They're not about to fall off. The toe piece (I don't know what it's actually called) is not just the typical round rubber post. On these flip-flops it's nicely shaped and fits comfortably between my toes. The arch support is nice too. They're not just flat. In spite of being more substantial than the cheapies we all know, these remain lightweight. They clearly look better too

Extremely comfortable with slight roomy fit

These are easily the most comfortable flip flops I have ever owned. From the moment I put them on, there was no break in period at all. They felt soft, supportive, and ready for all day wear right out of the box. The cushioning is excellent without feeling too soft, and they have a nice stable feel when walking. They are lightweight and clearly made with quality materials, making them great for everyday use or around water. One thing to note is that they run a little on the larger side, so if you are between sizes, you may want to consider sizing down for a better fit. Overall, these are a great combination of comfort, durability, and function. I would absolutely recommend them, especially if comfort is your top priority. (Excuse the teeth marks- my dog unfortunately got ahold of them before I snapped the photo- they are PERFECT out of the box)

Columbia always makes great stuff
Size: 14, Color: Espresso II/Black
Even with my flat feet these offer a lot of padding which makes these extremely comfortable. They increase my height about an inch haha. These are great for walking around the beach or just going for walks. The tread on the bottom of these make walking up hills where the surfaces are not completely even extremely easy and very grippy. Time will tell how durable these are, but so far they're holding up very well.
