Printful (our printer) uses is a wet-on-wet printing technique. They use a pre-treatment that helps the ink bond with the fabric which helps prevent flaking. The images used will be in high-resolution. Your gear will have the best print possible.
Some types of direct-to-garment printing designs can come out differently than expected. That's because for designs to be visible on all non-white items, the printer uses a white under base—a mix of white color and the color you added in your design.
When printing on colorful or dark garments, a white under base is used. The underbase is a mix of your intended color and white. The underbase cancels out the dark or bright-colored garment, making the print color stand out.
