This Ronson Typhoon lighter, finished in a warm satin gold tone, exemplifies mid-century utility reimagined with elegance.

Designed for reliability even in breezy conditions, the Typhoon features a deep-set flame guard and Ronson’s signature vertical chevron grip for confident, one-handed ignition. The smooth, contoured body offers a secure and balanced feel.

The base is stamped “Ronson – Typhoon – British Empire Made. U.S. & Foreign Pats (Number Obscured).” We believe it was further stamped “Hong Kong” beneath the original “Insp. 32” inspection label, though we’ve chosen not to disturb the tag to preserve its authenticity.

Unlike more common table lighters or dress pieces, the Typhoon is built for dependable outdoor use—yet this gold-tone example retains the refinement to sit comfortably in a tailored pocket.

This is new old stock from an inherited trove of unsold retail inventory.
