This Taylor 914ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar is a product of meticulous engineering and a nod to Taylor's rich history. The 914ce boasts the iconic Grand Auditorium body shape, a design Taylor has perfected over decades, known for its incredible versatility and balanced tonal output. The top wood is Sitka Spruce, providing broad dynamic range and crisp articulation, while the back and sides are made of Indian Rosewood, known for its rich resonance, complementing the top wood perfectly.
The secret behind the 914ce's vibrant, room-filling sound is Taylor's patented V-Class bracing, that provides fantastic sustain and helps in projecting a more articulate sound. Attention to detail is apparent in the 914ce's ornamentation, with bound West African Crelicam ebony forming a beautiful fingerboard, inlayed with a unique Ascension pattern that lends an element of sophistication to the design. The neck, made from tropical mahogany, is a joy to play with its smooth finish and comfortable profile.
Electronics come in the form of Taylor's advanced Expression System 2 (ES2), offering an innovative behind-the-saddle design that captures the guitar's natural tonal properties faithfully.
The finishing touch is a glossy natural finish for a classic aesthetic appeal that matches the guitar's superior tonal qualities perfectly.
