This particular bass, decked in a rich Faded Vintage Sunburst finish, hearkens to iconic "burst" finish models of guitars across the decades for a premier visual design. Pairing the classic with the modern, this is a bass to take you on a trip.

The Music Man StingRay Special starts out with an ash body taking Music Man's classic double-cutaway form. This body, effortlessly traveled across a stage, makes for a basic foundation off which the rest of this musical experience can fly. Extending out from this ash body, this StingRay Special features a "C"-shaped roasted maple neck treated to a gunstock oil and special wax finish, making it play without a hitch across its full length. Assembled with a five-bolt sculpted joint, this neck is sturdy and reliable. The roasted maple of this neck matches with an ebony fingerboard bearing twenty-two stainless steel frets. Connecting with a solid yet fluid fretting experience, the StingRay Special is primed for fast maneuvers from lower to higher registers for dynamic and expressive playability.

For its sound, the voice of this StingRay Special pipes up through a single neodymium humbucker wired with a 3-band, 18-volt preamp that offers wide worlds of tone to mix through. Volume, Treble, Mid, and Bass controls enable the exploration of these vivid spectrums of bass tone perfect for any aficionado to really spend time with. These tones are matched with Music Man's hardware specifications including a Vintage Music Man top-loaded steel bridge with black-plated steel saddles. Ensuring a stable foundation, this bridge is paired at the scale's opposite end with custom lightweight Music Man tuning machines with tapered string posts. Totally, this bass is smooth, sturdy, and ready for action. All of this is wrapped up in the StingRay Special's included MONO case.

Ball Launcher Poorly Made and Hard To Use, Save Your Money
This launcher was too long and thin to pick up the ball from the ground, I had to use my other hand to press down on it. The screw on handle was heavy and kept coming loose no matter how tight I made it, strain on the wrist to use. The ball holder end would often not let go of the ball when trying to launch it. I ended up putting it in the trash. I had two shorter Chuckit launchers that are much better made, will stick with them. I don't recommend this to anyone, save your money.

A few usability issues
My dog is obsessed with playing fetch. It’s part of our daily routine. Pros - I like that this comes with two launchers so we can keep one at home and one in the car. - Build feels solid Cons - The cup is slightly too small for regular sized tennis balls. I buy the large Costco box of Penn tennis balls every couple of years for my dog. If you fully seat the ball in the cup/launching end, it’s extremely difficult to throw and puts some strain on your wrist. — the workaround is to only partially insert the ball when picking it up. - Like others have stated, the launcher does come unscrewed occasionally after a few throws. It’s kind of annoying so I’ll likely try some thread lock, but ideally that wouldn’t be necessary.
