Description:
Our democracies repeatedly fail to safeguard the future. From pensions to pandemics, health and social care through to climate, biodiversity and emerging technologies, democracies have been unable to deliver robust policies for the long term.
In this book, Graham Smith asks why. Exploring the drivers of short-termism, he considers ways of reshaping legislatures and constitutions and proposes strengthening independent offices whose overarching goals do not change at every electionMore radically, Smith argues that forms of participatory and deliberative politics offer the most effective democratic response to the current political myopia, as well as a powerful means of protecting the interests of generations to come.

Very Firm Latex Medium, Appears Well-made
Size: Standard (Medium)
I love latex pillows, used them for decades. Then I got led astray! My neck reminded me I need firm, but soft and bouncy. This pillow is surprisingly firm for a medium. So think twice before ordering firm.

Comfortable but smaller than a standard pillow.
Size: Standard (Medium)
The pillow is bit smaller than standard length wise. It takes a while for the smell to go away. Very comfortable pillow.

Remarkable and impressive pillow
Size: Standard (Medium)
The pillow came quickly and was what was expected. After 6 months of chronic neck pain, one night on this pillow has made a world of difference. Please buy one of these if you are on the fence. They are wonderful. Highly recommend.

Not any more breathable than other pillows
Size: Standard (Medium)
I got this in hopes that it would be cooler than other pillows but it seems to hold the same amount of heat.
Additionally, as a side-sleeper, it is too thick for me. It is however pretty comfy and seems to be made out of quality material.
As other reviews stated, it was smelly at first but that went away within a week.
