WHISTLER, Rex. Engravings by Rex Whistler for Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels. Printed from the Original Plates. Printed by Harrison and Sons for H.M. Fletcher. 1970.

Folio, 28 loose leaves comprising title-page, 2 page Introduction by Anthony Rota, Limitation Leaf, 12 full page handcoloured plates, 8 vignettes, and 5 maps, all printed from the original plates. Housed together with one of the original plates in a recess within a green crushed morocco case lettered in gilt on spine. Plate slightly oxidisedl, a little arched and snug in case, otherwise a very good copy.

Limited edition of 100 sets of which 74 were for sale. This is one of 25 sets containing one of the original plates from which the prints were printed. This copy contains the plate for a vignette depicting a seated man talking to horses in their stables.

Rex Whistler's illustrated Gulliver's Travels was first published by The Cresset Press in an edition of 195 copies on handmade paper and 10 copies on vellum. The edition is 'one of the most handsome books ever to be published in this country. And the illustrations are ravishing.' ('The Twentieth Century Book' by John Lewis).

The original copper plates were acquired by booksller H.M. Fletcher who issued this suite of the illustrations in 1970. The sets which contained the original copper plates remained within the business until 2017 when they were acquired directly by Aquila Books of Calgary and Henry Sotheran Limited of London.

Good sunscreen, but the shade didn’t work for me
Color: Medium
I bought the Colorescience Flex in Medium because I had seen great reviews and liked the idea of a tinted mineral sunscreen. The formula itself felt really high quality and it did provide good sun protection, but the shade didn’t end up working for my skin tone. ✔️ What I liked: - Great daily mineral sun protection. - Lightweight texture and easy to apply. - Didn’t irritate my skin or cause breakouts. - Nice natural finish at first. ❌ What I didn’t like: - On my skin, the Medium shade looked orange. - The color didn’t blend well with my undertone. - I had to work it in quite a bit to avoid a noticeable line with my neck. I think the formula is really good, but the shade selection definitely requires care. In my case, it just wasn’t the right match

Finally found my perfect match!! In foundation!
Color: Medium, Color: Medium
I’ve used many high-end foundations over the years, but Colorescience has become my everyday favorite. It feels incredibly lightweight on the skin and provides a natural, healthy-looking finish that doesn’t feel heavy or cakey. The added SPF is a huge bonus and makes my morning routine so much easier. I also love how perfectly it matches my skin tone, it blends seamlessly and looks like my skin, just more even and polished. If you prefer a natural, lightweight foundation with the added benefit of sun protection, this one is definitely worth trying.

Worth the investment! It lasts!!
Color: Medium, Color: Medium
I have been using this religiously as my foundation for over a year! I love it. It works best for me when I use moistuzer, let it dry enough so you have a little slip. A LITTLE goes a long way and double check the bottle because even when it feels empty it’s not fully empty :) it’s not a full coverage approach to foundation I use an elf glo setting over it in winter . It’s light weight and the SPF was what I was looking for!

Expensive, but a good product!
Color: Fair
Love this product. Comes out of the tube white but changes color as you apply. I find you do need moisturizer on your face to get a smoother application - I tend to mix it with my moisturizer before applying and it works well. Am currently on my 3rd tube of the stuff. A bit pricey, but for my skin it sits better than most other products I've tried and doesn't make me break out or look shiny.
