Details

The present work was composed in 1778 and was printed in Paris by Pleyel's principal publisher Imbault in 1787 as '3e / SINFONIE / PRIODIQUE / A deux Violons Alto et Basse / Cors et Hautbois ad Libitum / Compose / par / Mr Ignace Pleyel / Matre de Chapelle de la Cathdrale de Strasbourg...' Like a number of other Pleyel symphonies this work was issued in arrangements by several publishers. Duo arrangements exist for violins and keyboard with either woodwind or string accompaniment. As one would expect, the work bears strong traces of Haydn's influence particularly in its vigorous, muscular outer movements. This edition is based on a copy of the Imbault print preserved in the Bibliothque du Conservatoire Royal de Musique, Brussels, under the shelfmark W 7796. Imbault's edition is for the most part carefully engraved although there are inevitably some errors and inconsistencies. The notation of articulation and dynamic markings has been standardised throughout, and, where missing, markings have been reconstructed from parallel passages. These are indicated by the use of dotted slurs or brackets where appropriate. Like most eighteenth-century sources, the print is inconsistent at times in its notation of appoggiature; these have also been standardised to minimise confusion. Obvious wrong notes have been silently corrected; otherwise, any editorial emendation with no authority from the source is placed within brackets. Allan Badley

Puppy Loves this toy
Color: Tie Dye Blue
My puppy is a 7wk old Great Pyrenees & Lab mix. He loves this toy! Fun for tug of war and for cuddles. Definitely worth the money. It is durable enough for razor puppy teeth.

The pooch is on Cloud No 9
Color: Blue
Lucky loves everything about this (blue) octopus. It has squeakers in all the right places and the crinkle sound adds to his fun. He’s almost 70lbs and extremely strong, and can be an aggressive player and chewer. So far, it has held up extremely well for the tug-of-war games and crazy shaking play. It’s well worth the money. I also want to mention that this toy is true to size. I have too often ordered dog toys that turned out to be much smaller than advertised.

Large, excellent toy with many squeakers!
Color: Blue, Color: Blue
This toy is excellent! I’m super happy with this purchase. My dog loves squeakers and there are so many in this toy, plus stuffing for her to rip out, and crinkle paper to take the sensory experience up another notch! It’s also more durable than many other plush-type dog toys, and is larger than expected which is a plus in my book. For size reference, both dogs are around 40lbs. I will be buying another as soon as this one is demolished!
