This color contains the following pigments:PB29-Ultramarine [Blue]
Pigment Name
PB29-Ultramarine [Blue]
Pigment Type
inorganic
Chemical Name
complex silicate of sodium and aluminum with sulfur
Chemical Formula
Na8-10Al6Si6O24S2-4 or Na6-8Al6Si6O24S2-4
Properties
Ultramarine is the standard warm blue, a brilliant blue pigment that has the most purple and least green in its undertone. It has a moderate to high tinting strength and a beautiful transparency. Synthetic Ultramarine is not as vivid a blue as natural Ultramarine. Ultramarine dries slowly in oil and tends to produce clean, though granular, washes in watercolor. French Ultramarine mixes well with Alizarin colors in oil and watercolor form to create a range of purples and violets. It can dull when mixed with white in acrylic form, but mixes well with other colors. The shade varies based on manufacturer. Considered a great color for glazes, it is not suitable for frescoing.
Permanence
Ultramarine has excellent permanence, although synthetic Ultramarine is not as permanent as natural Ultramarine. It may discolor if exposed to acid because of its sulfuric content.
Toxicity
Ultramarine has no significant hazards.
History
The name for this pigment comes from the Middle Latin ultra, meaning beyond, and mare, meaning sea, because it was imported from Asia to Europe by sea. It is a prominent component of lapis lazuli and was used on Asian temples starting in the 6th century. It was one of the most expensive pigments in 16th century Europe, worth twice its weight in gold, and so was used sparingly and when commissions were larger. Ultramarine is currently imitated by a process invented in France in 1826 by Jean Baptiste Guimet, making blue affordable to artists and extending the range of colors on their palettes.

Apple MacBook Air 15-inch (2026): Big Screen, Fast Performance, and Perfect Apple Ecosystem Upgrade
Capacity: 16GB Unified Memory | 512GB SSD Storage, Color: Starlight, Set: Without AppleCare+, Capacity: 16GB Unified Memory | 512GB SSD Storage, Color: Starlight, Set: Without AppleCare+
I just received my 2026 Apple MacBook Air 15-inch, and overall, I’m really impressed. At first, there was a bit of anxiety because the app showed my overnight delivery as being delayed by about a week, but it actually arrived exactly on time, which was a great relief.
The packaging was solid and everything arrived in perfect condition. Setup was quick and easy as expected with Apple products, and I’m officially now fully in the Apple ecosystem—iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and now MacBook.
The 15-inch screen is definitely a standout. It’s noticeably larger in person compared to the 13-inch, and that extra space makes a big difference for my marketing work, content creation, and anything detail-heavy. It also just feels better for everyday use and personal browsing.
Performance-wise, it’s fast, smooth, and everything runs seamlessly. It integrates perfectly with my other Apple devices, which makes my workflow feel really effortless.
Overall, I’m very happy with it so far and excited to fully customize it and make it my daily driver.

Apple laptop
Capacity: 16GB Unified Memory | 512GB SSD Storage, Color: Starlight, Set: Without AppleCare+
I’ve been using this MacBook Air for a few weeks now and honestly I’m very impressed with the quality and performance. It’s super lightweight, fast, and the battery lasts all day without any problems. The screen quality is beautiful and everything runs smoothly, even when I have multiple apps open at the same time.

Worth the investment
Capacity: 16GB Unified Memory | 512GB SSD Storage, Color: Sky Blue, Set: Without AppleCare+
I don't usually write reviews, but I recently bought this computer and I'm loving it. I previously had an M2 2023 Macbook Air that I got water in and fried. This essentially does all the same things, but cooler. It also has a bigger screen, which is perfect for me since I do a lot of work on my computer and constantly have a million tabs open. I'm also a student, so there's that. No complaints! The battery life is great and much better than my old computer. The color is a beautiful blue, which I've never seen before and I think is quite unique. I've gotten compliments on it. It also runs much faster and for some reason connects better to my crappy printer! Win all around!

Impressive MacBook Air
Capacity: 16GB Unified Memory | 512GB SSD Storage, Color: Midnight, Set: Without AppleCare+
Ordered via Prime and the Mac arrived the next day. Setup was easy. The M5 chip flies but my usage is basically routine functions no heavy usage. Everything is speedy. This computer is an upgrade from my 2017 MacBook Pro and a 2020 iMac. Both of those old Macs are still functional. I've been using Macs since the Apple IIC and II GS. Over 35 years ago. The keyboard is one of the best I've used. I loved the 2017 MBP keyboard because if had a great feel. Others since then were not comfortable until this keyboard on the MB Air. Booting up is fast. For me the battery will last for four days before recharging. I really like the Mag Safe charger. Easy on and easy off especially if you happen to forget you're charging and pull the computer away from the connection. Connection just drops off. The touchpad is not as sensitive as others. If I accidentally rest my finger or fingers on the pad it doesn't execute an unwanted command. You have to use a little pressure to execute the task. No problems while typing and having the touchpad sending you off into space somewhere. A great Mac upgrade.

Beautiful, Super Thin, Fast
Capacity: 16GB Unified Memory | 512GB SSD Storage, Color: Silver, Set: Without AppleCare+
It’s beautiful, super thin, very fast, and the screen size reminds me of the large iPad Pro. I have to get used to not touching the screen like you do with an iPad. You must use a mouse or your finger. Also programs work differently than apps. Make sure you are ready for that if you are only used to using an iPad.
