#1 NATIONAL BESTSELLER!

Justice Anthony Kennedy slipped out of the Supreme Court building on June 27, 2018, and traveled incognito to the White House to inform President Donald Trump that he was retiring, setting in motion a political process that his successor, Brett Kavanaugh, would denounce three months later as a national disgrace and a circus.

Justice on Trial, the definitive insider's account of Kavanaugh's appointment to the Supreme Court, is based on extraordinary access to more than one hundred key figuresincluding the president, justices, and senatorsin that ferocious political drama.

The Trump presidency opened with the appointment of Neil Gorsuch to succeed the late Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court. But the following year, when Trump drew from the same list of candidates for his nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, the justice being replaced was the swing vote on abortion, and all hell broke loose.

The judicial confirmation process, on the point of breakdown for thirty years, now proved utterly dysfunctional. Unverified accusations of sexual assault became weapons in a ruthless campaign of personal destruction, culminating in the melodramatic hearings in which Kavanaugh's impassioned defense resuscitated a nomination that seemed beyond saving.

The Supreme Court has become the arbiter of our nation's most vexing and divisive disputes. With the stakes of each vacancy incalculably high, the incentive to destroy a nominee is nearly irresistible. The next time a nomination promises to change the balance of the Court, Hemingway and Severino warn, the confirmation fight will be even uglier than Kavanaugh's.

A good person might accept that nomination in the naïve belief that what happened to Kavanaugh won't happen to him because he is a good person. But it can happen, it does happen, and it just happened. The question is whether America will let it happen again.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS:

Mollie Hemingway, a senior editor at The Federalist and a contributor to Fox News, is one of the country's most thoughtful, prescient, and respected political commentators.

Carrie Severino is chief counsel and policy director of the Judicial Crisis Network. A graduate of Harvard Law School, she clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas on the U.S. Supreme Court.

My new Favourite Summer Tank Top - padded cup (no shelf bra!)
Size: X-Small, Color: Color Block Black, Size: X-Small, Color: Color Block Black
Cutest tank top, my new summer go-to. I was looking and searching high and low for a tank top which had padded cups without the shelf bra. Shelf bras are so uncomfortable with their elastic bands and are even worse in the summer, sweaty sun. I wanted something breathable, movable, and with just a bit of padding to cover the nipples and add the slightest big of shape. If you are large breasted these built in cups might not be the best for you, but as a smaller breasted lady these are perfect. The cups are not over the top bulky, but also they are not meant to really add "support" (for those who are looking for support this wouldn't be the tank for you. Think lightly padded!) The material is super soft and the length comes down to the hips. The tank doesn't ride up, so you're not always having to pull them down and adjust, and so you could wear them for both workouts or for casual summer evenings. I bought size XS and I am 5'1, 97 lbs. I was wondering if I should go to a size S because it wasn't clear by some of the reviews, but I'm glad I bought the XS because the shoulder strap is also the perfect length (not too baggy but also not super tight). Read the sizing chart before you buy - they are true to the size indicated on the sizing chart. Some have said theirs didn't come with padding, or the stitching was poor, but the ones I've received are totally fine. This tank is just plain-old comfortable any way you look at it. I'll be buying more colours!

Great workout tank
Size: Small, Color: Cocoa
Great workout tank with built-in padding. Fits true to size, is comfortable and soft that hugs your form. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the pads do get shifted around during washes, which is typical but frustrating. I air dry and haven’t had any issues with shrinking either.

Cute but NOT supportive
Size: X-Large, Color: Floral Pink Rose, Size: X-Large, Color: Floral Pink Rose
These are NOT “workout” tanks offering support. They have a removable cup sewn into the front of the shirt, similar to a bathing suit. If you have small (or gloriously high) boobs and want a shirt to hide your nipples, this is great. If you want something to actually give support, this is NOT it. There is no band to provide support. So if you have large or low breasts, don’t even try. You’ll have to wear a bra with it unless you want your boobs hanging below the sewn in cups. That being said, the material is great. It’s nice and thick with lots of stretch. The cut is also adorable. And I LOVE all the colors. I wish it just had a supportive band!

Comfy & cute! But low support
Size: X-Large, Color: Ocean Depths
This tank is super comfortable and I LOVE the color. The built-in bra is a little weird; I thought it was sewn in backwards but apparently not. It has low/medium support, bigger chested folks may not like this. Im a 36D and its right on the line for support where I can't decide about wearing this in public. I sized up and am glad I did; it fits well! Im 5'7" and 165lbs for reference.

Fantastic tank top
Size: Small, Color: Ocean Depths
This is a great tank top. I love that there is a inserted bra. I have read other reviews about the padding moving around during wash but that's really no big deal and easily put back into place. It's a super soft and well fitting shirt.
