The late Maurizio Pollini passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 82, marking the end of a career spanning more than 60 years. He was one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century. Few pianists can boast having established benchmark recordings for almost all the major keyboard composers. Whether it was Beethoven, Chopin, Schubert, or Schumann, Maurizio Pollini stood out as a leading interpreter.

A joyful winner of the prestigious Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 1960, he recorded the composer's Piano Concerto No. 1 with Paul Kletzki that same year. Here, we present a much rarer recording from the same year with the same conductor, this time live with the Orchestre National de France, and another live recording made in Italy eight years later. Given that the sound quality of both recordings was just barely acceptable, the restoration required extensive work, and we are very pleased with the result.

The two concertos for piano and orchestra are youthful works: Opus 11 was written in 1830 and Opus 21 a year earlier, in 1829. Once again, they exhibit a brilliant style with an impression of virtuosity (it is no coincidence that the first is dedicated to a renowned pianist like Friedrich Kalkbrenner). For a great interpreter, the challenge is to highlight the poetic aspects of the piano without falling into excessive sentimentality. In this regard, it seems to us that Maurizio Pollini has succeeded admirably.

Not as tough as they make it seem
Color: Buck Wild, Color: Buck Wild
My dog chewed it up and destroyed it in less than 4 hours. I have a GSP 8 month old. She’s definitely a super chewer but this didn’t last at all. The tail crumbled apart and she ate some of it.

This is a HEAVY Toy
Color: Buck Wild
This toy is HEAVY. Really good quality, but my dog hasn’t shown much interest. If you can find a way to get your dog to play with it, I’m sure it would last for awhile.

Fave dog toy!
Color: Betty Bigfoot
Great toy! My dog prefers the ball inside which is great for chewing on, bouncing, and playing fetch. Very thick rubber, lasts a good while. The outside cover is pretty tough, but for those who like a challenge it should last a little while. It really depends on how determined and fierce the dog is about chewing! We’ve had 3 of them. We always keep a back up for when one expires!!

Perfect for Heavy Chewers—Huge Hit in Our House!
Color: Aurora Beast
This toy is an absolute favorite in my house! My dogs are usually pretty picky and can destroy most toys within minutes, but this one has seriously impressed me. It’s super durable while still being soft enough for them to carry around and cuddle with. They’re completely obsessed—whether they’re chewing on it, tossing it around, or just walking around proudly with it in their mouths. It keeps them entertained for a long time, which is a huge win. Definitely worth it if you have strong chewers and want something that actually lasts. I’ll be buying more from this line for sure!
