Step into the vibrant sonic world of Oruã's "Slacker," where the beating heart of Rio de Janeiro pulsates through your speakers. A cocktail of lo-fi indie rock and kaleidoscopic psychedelia, this album is a testament to Brazil’s eclectic music tapestry and Lê Almeida's dynamic leadership.Lauded for his magnetic guitar work, Almeida, alongside João Casaes, Bigu Medine, and Ana Zumpano, paints with a vast auditory brush. Together, they achieve a colorful collision of sounds, blending afrobeat with echoes of Luiz Gonzaga's Pernambuco roots and Brazilian psych rock. It's a testament to their past collaborations, including a notable stint with indie rock luminaries Built to Spill, where they co-crafted the eclectic "When the Wind Forgets Your Name" now immortalized in the indie folklore.
Birthed after tours that spanned continents, from the sweaty dives of São Paulo to the cavernous clubs of Seattle, "Slacker" was shaped under the experienced hands of Jim Roth. His contribution is tangible, infusing layers of guitar and synth into tracks that throb with a primal energy. Oruã's sound evolves rhythmically, marrying deconstructed guitar strains with hypnotic grooves designed to enchant listeners into a collective trance.
Encased in classic black vinyl, this singular piece is more than music; it's a cultural export, crafting a bridge that spans oceans and genres. For collectors and new fans alike, "Slacker" offers a tangible slice of Oruã's inventive spirit - a vital addition to any cutting-edge vinyl collection.

Comic story is great, but actual comic arrived in terrible condition
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Book arrived bent and warped. Same package contained two comics but only this one was warped. The paperback covers are also a centimeter too short width wise on both front and back.

A disappointing "Dark Droids" tie-in.
Format: Paperback
A tie-in miniseries-of-sorts to the main “Dark Droids” event, “Star Wars: Dark Droids: D-Squad” is, unfortunately, all too characteristic of typical comic book event “addendums”: lots of flash, little substance. To be fair, writer Marc Guggenheim does what he can to flesh out the core story, which involves a squad of droids, all of whom are pulled from the various ongoing “Star Wars” titles – forming the titular “D-Squad” – to take on the Scourge threat from the main “Dark Droids” event. The problem is that too much of the series feels like it’s spinning in circles – there’s a frustrating lack of narrative momentum here, and the result is a story that, frustratingly, revs to life only in spurts.
Not a terrible comic, but considering the overall quality of the “Dark Droids” event as a whole, a disappointing one.

Extremely Satisfied
This is a gift for my daughter and I looked at it making sure it works base on former reviews. At first the lid wouldn’t close and it was extremely disappointed but my husband laughed and said hold the lid and turn the handle. It then will latch and stay close. So now I’m extremely satisfied lol

Classic Toy That Never Gets Old!
My 8-month-old is absolutely captivated by this Elmo jack-in-the-box! She giggles with anticipation as the "Waltzing Matilda" tune plays, and erupts in laughter when the soft Elmo plush pops out. The sturdy metal box with vibrant Sesame Street designs has held up perfectly through daily play. At 5.25 x 5.25 x 5.5 inches, it's the perfect size for little hands. This timeless toy brings endless joy and smiles—highly recommend for any Elmo-loving baby or toddler!
