Mesquite Block M2009 3" x 3" x 3" 0.8 lbs. This is a cubic block of Texas-grown Mesquite. The color is the rich, reddish-brown of Mesquite heartwood. We have a number of similar blocks, so take a look through the photos to see this particular block. I take lots of photos, so scroll down in the photographs to see them all. The grain on these often have medullary rays, burl buds, small knots, and even some open cracks (depending on the block). Some of these also have a bit of sapwood and bark, with perhaps a wane edge where the block intersects a tree surface. This piece has been fully air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. If it has cracks, they can be artfully filled with CA glue. Contrasting colors look great with Mesquite. Pure black or coffee-ground epoxy look beautiful, too. These blocks are great for giant dice! About the Tree This Texas-grown Honey Mesquite tree was harvested in El Campo, Texas in July of 2022. It was cut down by the city for reasons unknown to us, and we were happy to help save the tree from a burn pile. It is possible that this tree was damaged by the Valentine's Day Freeze that Texas suffered in February 2021, which is when our state lost a lot of beautiful trees in an unusually deep and long freeze. |

Great shoes

I saw people wearing shoes like this in the office (maybe not the same brand), so I ordered a pair to see how they feel. They feel amazing. It's basically sneaker that look ok to be worn with pants and sport jacket. Fit is great, I ordered my usual size and they fit nicely.
Sole is thick enough to make them comfortable, not too thick to looks like a sport sneaker. Durability seems ok, wore them couple of times, so I can't really tell, but they seems like they can last long time.

Love these shoes

Comfortable shoes that still look presentable
Size: 12, Color: Black
I wanted a pair of shoes that were more presentable than regular sneakers but did not feel like stiff dress shoes, and these fit that role well. They have the look of a casual oxford, but the mesh upper makes them feel much lighter and easier to wear. That makes them useful for days when I want to look a little more put-together without sacrificing comfort. They are breathable, easy to walk around in, and work well with casual outfits. The only thing I’d keep in mind is that the mesh material can take a little extra care to keep clean, but that is a reasonable tradeoff for the comfort.

Summertime Comfort

My husband has a small foot and the shoe was a perfect fit for him, size 6 1/2. Normally this is a difficult size to find in a shoe. He was very pleased with the color and weight of the fabric. The fabric is breathable and lightweight. The shoes are very well constructed with a nice solid heel and sole. They are a perfect summertime shoe. The shoes will go well with shorts or casual trousers.

Comfort + Style = Dream Walkers
