Of hij nu op de set staat, aanschuift aan het kerstdiner of voor het eerst naar een gabberfeest gaat. Dit besef is het begin van een zeer persoonlijke zoektocht naar zelfacceptatie én de uitknop van zijn eeuwige pleasegedrag.


Voor zijn verjaardag geeft Patrick zichzelf onder andere een reeks therapiesessies, een auralezing en een tweedaagse retraite met zweethutten en ijsbaden cadeau. Gesprekken met onder andere Els van Steijn, Chantal Janzen, Jurre Geluk, Eva Eikhout en Georgina Verbaan helpen hem antwoord te vinden op de vraag: hoe accepteer ik mezelf?
