Inspired by tables that might be found in the Tradesman's entrance of an English country house. The Tradesmen's entrance was a working part of the house where tradesmen would deliver their wares Butchers, Grocers, Candlemakers, Basketmakers all would have used this entrance to liaise with the staff. I have worked with a local craftsman to design and build these tables.
Built after an antique original, I am excited to offer you the Tradesman Table!
Inspired by tables that might be found in the Tradesman's entrance of an English country house. The Tradesmen's entrance was a working part of the house where tradesmen would deliver their wares - Butchers, Grocers, Candlemakers, Basketmakers all would have used this entrance to liaise with the staff.
I have worked with a local craftsman to design and build these tables. Each table is handmade in the traditional way of solid pine. The table tops have breadboard ends. Each table is stained and hand waxed to just the right color, a custom "Parson's Nose" finish. The wax finish is a living finish and will wear - particularly the top over time. You may chose to re-wax the table, or simply let it age gracefully.
You may also choose from any of the Farrow & Ball Modern Eggshell hand painted & waxed finishes for an additional charge. Our hand painted & waxed finish will change over time evoking an antique finish.
Farrow & Ball is a luxury, UK-based paint and wallpaper company known for its handcrafted, richly pigmented, water-based paints with a unique response to light, offering a curated palette of 132 distinctive colors and several different finishes. Founded in 1946 by John Farrow and Richard Ball, the brand emphasizes high-quality ingredients and minimal additives, resulting in eco-friendly, low-odor paints.

Condition: scratches, cracks, dents, marks - beautiful waxed finish!
Finish: Parson's Nose antique stain. We use an eco-friendly finish that is linseed oil based, certified 0% VOC, solvent-free, with third party certifications including Greenguard Gold, Food Safe, and Toy Safety. It is a durable wood finish that is wear, water and heat resistant.
