Ah, the melon vase. Bright, fresh colors. A soft, round shape. It’s a vase you’ll want to stare at for hours, even without any flowers in it. At first glance, these vases look modern. But take a look closer, and you’ll see the truth: It’s actually a redesign of an older terracotta pot -- one of the first terracotta pieces to hit the Dutch market. Only now, Polspotten has updated it to match the current collection. If you’ve been following long enough, you may have already recognized it. So, if you’ve ever wanted to see the past and the present in one vase, here’s your chance. The vase dimensions were created with florists. This is an item that won’t disappoint.
About the Brand
Founded in 1986 and inspired on the road, experiencing what the world had to offer, POLSPOTTEN is devoted to creativity in its purest form. From the start, the spirit of forward motion has been ingrained in every facet of POLSPOTTEN: Worldly in expression, daring in construction, and at no time bothered by conventions. POLSPOTTEN creations take interiors to unexpected places, bring them to life, and make them play.
Dedicated to the ethos of play, POLSPOTTEN explores with enthusiasm, designs with humor, and creates with the curiosity of a lifelong learner, all while respecting and nurturing the most important asset: the creative instinct.
POLSPOTTEN is here to Add Play To Space, sharing a belief that playfulness is our higher purpose, it's something that they strive for both in their products and in their personal lives. At the same time, they acknowledge that it is necessary to have as little impact on the environment as possible.
