IE's Flow Distribution System (FDS) places precisely engineered fins inside the end tank to force airflow evenly across the whole surface area to distribute the heat more effectively and recover faster. When drastically reducing air intake temperatures for the most significant power gains possible, IE FDS intercoolers are the proven cheat code.
NO BOOST LEAKS
The RS3 & TTRS 2.5TFSI engine is no stranger to big boost. Designed for any power goal, the inlet and outlet ports are specifically designed and in-house CNC machined to prevent boost hoses from popping off. Our engineers have paid close attention to detail with a flat-stop edge and beveled grooves for a high-friction surface that grips your hoses and locks them in place for good.
RELIABLE STRENGTH
The end tanks are manufactured from high-quality aluminum castings with ultra-thick and reinforced mounting for long life and worry-free operation. All mounting bosses and surfaces are in-house precision CNC machined and hand-verified for an exact fit.
IN-HOUSE TIG WELDED
For maximum quality, finish detail, and outstanding quality, every intercooler is meticulously in-house TIG welded by our intercooler welding specialists. Every unit undergoes a strict post-welding multi-point critical inspection and is tested on our leak-down station before shipping. DEFEAT HEAT SOAK
IE's FDS Intercooler is your ultimate weapon against heat soak. Heat soak occurs when the heat generated by the turbocharger and engine exceeds the cooling capacity of the intercooler. The most common symptom is the noticeable loss of power during WOT acceleration or several back-to-back pulls. By increasing the core size and useable area of the core with FDS technology, we have significantly reduced intake air temperatures consistently lower than OEM and competition intercoolers.
INTAKE AIR TEMP (IAT)
This graph measures intake air temperature (IAT) heat gain from back-to-back testing of consecutive runs. Three wide-open throttle pulls were made while recording the IAT gains at the intercooler. The result was up to 28.6% lower IAT over the stock intercooler on a Stage 1 car!

POWER GRAPH
Real-world power numbers are achieved using our in-house dyno cells to see how the intercooler upgrade affects horsepower and torque. The testing was performed in controlled conditions on a stage 1 car. This testing shows that large power gains are achieved with the intercooler by reducing IATs.

FDS DYNAMICS
This comparison uses advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software to detail our FDS fin design's result on flow through the intercooler end tank. Notice the increased charge air distribution entering the top and across the intercooler core. The better this flow is distributed will increase intercooler efficiency and the speed at which it can expel heat from the core.
The above gains are a result of various design details:
- The massive increase in core size dramatically reduces heat soak.
- The internal FDS design forces air to utilize the entire core volume increasing efficiency.

Pretty Good But Not Perfect!

I have been using two of these frames for my miniature poodle puppy for almost a month now and while they are useful, they could be improved. The size of the frames are great for our miniature size poodle puppy and the Amazon pads that fit the frames absorb well without leaking underneath. The grips on the bottom of the frame keep it in place so it does not slide across floor. The frame hinges in the center so you can easily carry it through doorways. I am in my 60's so it is nice to be able to carry it to my work table in order to change pads while standing up.
My 4 month old 10 pound puppy can make a dinner plate size circle of pee onto the pad first thing in the morning. 4 large pees are easily held by the pee pads before needing to change it but we prefer to change the pads more often for sanitary reasons. Not sure if you have a very large breed dog that these would work for you. Our puppy likes going on these without hesitation so they are comfortable for him to walk around on and turn to find just the right spot!
Compared to other brands I have looked at this is a great value for money and worth a try to help with potty training your pup. Our puppy sleeps in an X-pen inside of our home at night and when we are gone so these help with keeping the pads where we want them. We have two - one inside X-pen and one by door where we are training puppy to go outside.
These frames are nice in appearance and seem like they will last but they are a little awkward to use compared to another brand I purchased which was more durable and easier to change pad. I ended up with these because other brands do not offer such a large size (28 x 34).
Our main complaints about these frames are:
1. The top frame is hinged and a little wobbly to manuever over the edges of the pee pads. Another brand, while a bit smaller, has a solid one piece frame that goes over entire pad in one step. This frame requires a three step process of laying pad down, pulling edges out flat and placing one side of frame down and then repeating on other side. There is usually a bit of adjustment that needs to be done and so requires opening and closing the frame again for adjustments.
2. The Amazon pee pads that fit this frame hold the pee well without leaking but have very thin tissue paper like edges (blue) that do not extend out far enough to make capturing the edges of the pee pad under the frame very easy to maneuver. It would be a game changer if the pads were made at least 1" bigger around length and width so edges are firmly held in place.
3. Our tiny 10 pound poodle pup is able to easily dig out edges of pad and tear it up. Not as bad as a loose pad by any means, but blue edges are exposed at side centers where frame hinges and there is no cover of edges (unlike a one piece frame) and the blue color seems to attract him. He can dig and loosen pad on any side because there is no way to hide and hold down all of the blue edges of pee pad.
I am still using these to potty train and, as I said earlier, these are way better than loose pee pads. I may shop for even larger size pee pads in the future to better lock down all of the edges without so much difficulty.

Saving My Floors

Omg, what a game changer. My pups like to destroy the pads whenever they get the chance to. With this they still try but never succeed. I will say that it can be a little sturdier as the handles are a little flimsy, but I manage and it does the job. It's very easy to use when I change the pads and I use 2 pads for coverage. I just placed it where I usually place their pads and it fits right in the spot. They are trained to go outside but on rainy days this comes in handy. To save my floors it's definitely worth the money spent.

Dog pee pad tray holder.
Size: Small, Size: Small
I purchased this pre pad holder because my tiny pup would shred into a million pieces the pee pads I placed on the floor.
This is a sturdy, easy to use and clean produce. You just lift up the grief top tray, add a pee pad and close... all done. If you get pads that are a bit too large, no oroblem, you can easily find them to fit into the tray.
Quick clean up are with a wet wipes. For an occasional better clean... the whole thing can be washed in a bath yup or outside with a garden hose.
Best of all, my pup seems to know exactly what to do with this tray!
I would definitive comment and buy again. Actually, I have recommended it to several people.
