For nearly three decades, Mauricio Pérez Bravo has nurtured his land with the devotion and joy that inspired the name of his farm: El Divino Niño "The Divine Child," named after the youthful image of Jesus and reflecting the reverence Mauricio feels for the place he's built from the ground up. Tucked into the rugged highlands of Tectitán, the farm sits in one of Guatemala's three non-volcanic coffee regions, where hot winds rising from Mexico's Tehuantepec plain meet the cool air descending from the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes. A rare microclimate that shields cherries from frost and lets them ripen slowly into the bright, layered fruit Huehuetenango is celebrated for. Paired with the area's mineral-rich limestone soils and a careful 30-hour fermentation followed by sun-drying on patios, Mauricio's quiet precision and 28 years of experience come through in a cup that is clean, lively, and deeply considered.

A sunlit pour of crisp orchard fruit and citrus, finishing with the soft sweetness of agave.

***
We typically roast all of our coffees to order on Thursdays and Fridays. Orders ship out that evening, unless they need ground and then we hold the order up to 72 hours before grinding so that the coffee can properly off-gas co2.

It’s important to let your coffee rest for at least 3 days from the roast date so that the coffee has time to off-gas co2 and further develop their full flavors. Peak window for brewing is between 7-14 days, with a slight fall in subtle flavors toward the end of 40 days after roast.

So simple to use, I'm amazed
Color: Black
Wonderfully helpful. Description is accurate, shipping was quick. I saw a few poor comments, but I have none so far! The can opener has opened cans of several sizes, from tomato paste to large cans of tomatoes; soup cans to strangely shaped. It's opened 30 or so already without loss of power. It's a little noisy, but about equal to that of a stand up opener. It fits in my drawer, which is less deep than most kitchen drawers. Most of all, it's beyond easy to use for arthritic hands. The ONLY CHALLENGE I have is that it sometimes fails to stop when it should. MANUFACTURER: if you read this and have advice, please share. At this point, I'd say this is a great value for the money.

Pleased be careful
Color: Black
Please be very careful when using this. After using it 2 times it opened cans just fine. Then it stop opening cans and will make hair like strains of metals and one would think its hair and pull on it thus Cutting your fingers open. That’s what happened to me. Please be careful.

Quit working after 30 days
Color: Black
This can opener worked fine for the first couple of weeks. It stopped working several days ago and even though I had recharged it, it would not turn on. I thought I would give it another try before I threw it away since I was past the refund period so I could not return it. I made 100% sure that it was plugged in securely and it did charge and worked today. Make sure that it is plugged in securely when charging. Hopefully it will continue to work and if not I will update my review.
