An appealingly warm sound mixed with a slotty, accurate feel the GA rounds out the control models of the G series.
You could define the GA by comparison - it’s a G with the edge taken off, a GM that accepts a little more air, a GS that provides tighter slots, a more direct GH… and all of those are true.
But that’s a picture of what it isn’t and not a picture of what it is; the GA develops a sheen and warmth to the sound that gives it a sense of distance and weight without being veiled or covered. It brings some of the sound of the horn’s origins to the table in a responsive, accurate cup.
Chosen in back to back trials by members of the New York Philharmonic and Met Opera as being our best mouthpiece (for them and their horns).
#2|#16 conical bore, medium shallow.
