Alder tends to have a lot of color variation throughout, so please browse the photos to get a sense of this particular piece's character. This piece has been rough-cut into an oval in the dimensions specified. It was cut by hand, so the edges will need finish-shaping and sanding. Any darkening on the cut surfaces will sand off -- our industrial blades often leave a bit of sorching. The wood is fully air-dried with moisture content under 10%.There are a few scattered bug holes visible on the faces. About the Tree This Red Alder tree lived a long and healthy life on San Juan Island, Washington. It died naturally and toppled over, probably during one of the wind storms which frequently sweep across the island. You'll enjoy the projects you create from this wood! |

Perfect Fit for 2008 Prius
I bought this for my 2008 Prius to help with allergens since I drive with my dog often. I wanted something that fit right and actually improved the air inside the car. Good Enough
This doesn't fit precisely into place. You can see in the photo that the pleats just end with no frame on the sides to seal to the body of the housing. You can wiggle the end pleat into place but there's nothing holding it there so I don't know how long it will stay there. Not a big deal for me, but if you live on a dirt road, there could be enough air bypassing the filter that you may get a dusty car sooner. Price was fine, but I won't buy this filter again.
