Naturally-magnetized pieces of magnetite, called lodestone, will attract small pieces of iron, which is how ancient peoples first discovered the property of magnetism.
It's used as a pigment, a component of magnetic "slime" or putty, inks, and is the high-temperature oxidizer used in thermite reactions.
Iron Oxide (Fe3O4) is not generally considered hazardous, but please find attached Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) that you may download and use freely.
