Intrinsically Safe IMPRES Li-Ion Battery with Self-Calibration
TIA4950 UL-Rated Hazardous Location Power Source
Equip your UL-rated handheld transceiver with a certified intrinsically safe, self-calibrating power pack engineered for explosive and volatile environments.
The genuine Motorola PMNN4810A is a specialized Motorola PMNN4810A Intrinsically Safe IMPRES Li-ion Battery for MOTOTRBO R7 portable radios engineered to deliver high-capacity power within hazardous industrial classifications. Integrating the Motorola PMNN4810A into your fleet deployment ensures your teams maintain reliable communication without risking spark ignition in areas containing flammable gases, vapors, or combustible dust clouds. This advanced hazardous-location (HazLoc) power pack features a robust enclosure that complies strictly with TIA4950 UL safety parameters.
Specially developed for petrochemical refineries, grain elevators, offshore drilling rigs, and volatile manufacturing facilities, the Motorola PMNN4810A resolves critical safety compliance demands while providing exceptional shift runtime. The advanced built-in IMPRES self-calibration microchip tracks cell performance and updates tracking telemetry data natively on compatible charging decks, completely eliminating the extensive downtime associated with manual formatting programs. This model acts as the direct, factory-authorized update replacing the previous legacy part number PMNN4810.
The ruggedized outer shell forms a secure, tight seal with the radio frame to achieve a premium IP68 ingress rating, making the entire assembly completely dust-tight and capable of surviving continuous submersions. Technicians and operators must verify that the battery latch is completely clean and firmly engaged before entering hazardous areas to maintain the system's certified safety boundary. Never attempt to detach, service, or swap battery packs within an active hazardous location zone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use this battery on a standard non-UL Motorola R7 radio?
Yes, it will physically fit and power a standard R7 handset. However, to maintain true Intrinsically Safe protection in a hazardous environment, the radio itself must also be a factory-certified UL-rated model.
Do I need to put this battery through an overnight formatting cycle?
No, the advanced self-calibration software embedded within this power pack allows it to maintain accurate runtime tracking and cell health data natively without requiring manual overnight conditioning cycles.
Is it safe to clean this battery with chemical solvents if it gets greasy?
No, you should only clean the battery using a soft cloth dampened with mild dish soap and warm water. Strong chemical solvents can degrade the specialized polymer casing and compromise its intrinsically safe seal.
