RARE | OUT OF PRINT | NEAR NEW IN CASING

As one of the 20th century's most important photographers, Cecil Beaton helped invent the cult of the celebrity image while pushing the boundaries of his art form with innovative techniques and staging. In the course of his decades-long career as a photographer for Vogue and Vanity Fair, as well as a British war correspondent, Cecil Beaton documented lives both famous and quotidian in dozens of scrapbooks now held by Sotheby's London. In these pages, reproduced here for the very first time, the inner vision of the man behind the camera takes center stage. Composed of his own prints and clippings from magazines, newspapers, and playbills, the pages are an instructive record of his creative process. His famous eye alighted on society figures, royals, dancers, actors, statesmen, and natives in ceremonial garb, picking out visual rhymes and witty juxtapositions. To flip through the pages is to enter a fabulous and surreal party where Tallulah Bankhead rubs shoulders with a bust of Voltaire and a portrait of Stravinsky; where Beaton's first trip on the Queen Mary coincides with Queen Elizabeth's coronation. Beaton's scrapbooks allowed the artist to play with pictures he had taken (and perhaps those he wished he had) in the dreamspace of artifice that was always his favorite setting. AUTHOR James Danziger was the Director of Photography at the London Sunday Times Magazine, features editor of Vanity Fair, and director of Magnum New York. He runs the gallery Danziger Projects in New York Hardcover in a luxury slipcase 218 illustrations

Suggest ordering one size up
Color: Pink Gray, Size: 44
The suit coat itself was fine and had a decent fit, the pants did not fit me despite the measurements indicating that they would. I would estimate they were at least an inch and a half too small in the waist. So if you are ordering I would order the next size up from what you think you need. I got lots of compliments on it I will say that

Pieces do not match
Color: Double Breasted Black, Size: 42
The pants are too big. Should have an option to order pieces separately.

This is a very nice suit
Color: Pink Gray, Size: 42
I liked that you could use it in all seasons because it has pink lines you could put it with a pink shirt in the warm season or if is cold outside you could put a black or gray shirt very versatile.

Great!!!!!!!
Color: Black, Size: 38
The MOGU tuxedo set is an excellent, stylish product that works well for special occasions like proms, weddings, and parties. 1. Style and Appearance Modern Slim Fit: The suits are consistently praised for their slim-fit design, which provides a sharp, modern, and tailored silhouette. This contemporary cut is a major selling point for men looking to avoid the boxy fit of traditional rentals. Visual Appeal: The tuxedo sets look very much like the pictures online, often featuring stylish details like shawl lapels or unique jacquard/printed fabrics. They are designed to make a statement and stand out. 2. Quality and Material Value for Price: Customers report that the quality is generally better than expected for the affordable price point. The material is typically a polyester/viscose blend, which is soft, smooth, and breathable enough for an evening event. Construction: The suits are considered sturdy and well-put-together for occasional use. 3. Key Considerations (Sizing and Fit) Sizing Inconsistencies: This is the most critical point of feedback. Sizing can run small or be inconsistent with typical US sizing (sometimes aligning closer to Asian sizing charts). Recommendation: It is highly recommended to refer closely to the brand's specific size chart using chest, waist, and height measurements, or even consider ordering a size up, as tailoring smaller is easier than letting out a too-small garment. Pants: The pants often come with a flat front and a slim-fit cut. They typically require hemming or minor alterations for a perfect length and fit, which is common for ready-to-wear suits.
