Boss 50th Anniversary DS-1 Distortion Effect PedalThe Boss 50th Anniversary DS 1 Distortion is made in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Boss as a company. At the least, you most likely know what a DS 1 is if you have never owned one or many over the years. First introduced in 1979, the DS 1 is a guitar gear icon made to sculpt hard clipping distortion sounds achievable only at the time by cranking up a powerful tube amplifier. At the least, you most likely know what a DS-1 is if you have never owned one - or many over the years. First introduced in 1979, the DS-1 is a guitar gear icon made to sculpt hard clipping distortion sounds achievable only at the time by cranking up a powerful tube amplifier. Its legacy remains intact, having been in production - and unchanged - since its debut year.
As time can only tell, the longest running product in a company's line may not be the best selling just because it's been available for so long. However, the DS-1 still remains as the best-selling Boss compact pedal of all time, seconded only by the flame throwing MT-2 Metal Zone distortion.
The 50th Anniversary DS-1 takes the circuit and layout we all know and love and dresses it in a dazzling metallic finish. For a little extra icing on the cake, the anniversary model also features a silver battery compartment screw - a nod to vintage Boss.
Celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Boss with the 50th Anniversary DS-1!
- Legendary Boss DS-1 in limited 50th anniversary finish
- Iconic distortion tone known for rock, pop, and grunge music styles
- Controls for Level, Tone, and Distortion
- Silver thumbscrew nods to vintage Boss build style
- Batttery power optional
