Since introducing the world to its never-before-heard design with some help from Josh Scott of JHS Pedals, the Big Muff Pi 2 has taken on a life of its own among guitarists enamored with its fuller, more gnarly Muff tone with a little more roughness around the edges. The Bass Big Muff Pi 2 follows in the same tradition as the one just kicked off by its guitar-born brethren – except for bass! Two dual op-amps bring the Bass Big Muff Pi 2's sounds to life for a vivacious fuzz tone so familiar yet so fresh.
For more modern stylings, the Bass Big Muff Pi 2 is not without its flourishes. For one, a dedicated Bass Boost switch lands at the center of this pedal for even more bassy response on tap at the flip of a switch. Your classic Muff Volume/Tone/Sustain control scheme shapes the pedal's fuzzy voice as you've come to know and love it while a key new addition – a Blend control – allows for more finesse when mixing for live scenarios or recording. Whether you like your Muffs clean or totally blown-out, the Blend control allows you plenty of opportunity mix your dry, unaffected signal and wet, fuzzed signal to get it where you need it. Standard nine-volt center negative power requirements bring the Bass Big Muff Pi 2 to your board seamlessly with the option for separate nine-volt battery connection.
