This is beneficial in cases where the factory diverter has aged to the point where it makes sense to replace the factory diverter entirely. The T9382 also has a lower profile than the T9352, meaning it can be installed on Mini N18 engine (for a much simpler installation than T9353), and on other Peugeot models where clearance was an issue. This means the T9382 can be used to replace the factory diverter valve entirely rather than re-use the solenoid
