The Strat Plus series was Fender's modified upgrade series to their late '80s American Standard Strats. The Strat Plus is enhanced for player friendliness with medium jumbo frets, a Fender roller nut (LSR from 1993-onward), and Fender Lace Sensor Gold pickups. Lace Sensor Golds are rated at 5.8k, and are lower in output with a bell like chime notable to Strats, but with 60-cycle hum resistance. The bridge Lace Sensor is wired to a Fender TBX circuit, which cuts either treble or bass, as opposed to a traditional tone pot which only cuts treble when rolled off.
This Strat Plus is very comfortable to play. Having the LSR nut allows for certain double stop and pedal steel-style bends to be ergonomically possible - and in tune! If you need a road ready Stratocaster for many types of gigs, check this one out.
