Live In Manchester 1980 [RSD Exclusive 2LP Red Vinyl] is a shredding slice of hard rock history that’s finally making its long-overdue vinyl debut. Previously only available digitally, this legendary performance is now pressed on limited edition double red vinyl as part of Record Store Day, because yes, some things really do deserve the royal (colored) treatment.
Captured during MSG’s blistering 1980 tour in support of their self-titled debut album, this live set showcases Michael Schenker in all his six-string glory. From the explosive opener “Armed and Ready” to the high-octane runs on “Cry for the Nations” and “Into the Arena,” this concert is a masterclass in melodic metal done right. And let's not forget the soaring vocals of Gary Barden, which cut through the noise with arena-ready flair.
What makes this release even sweeter? It's the first-ever physical release of this concert, cherry-picked from the forthcoming deluxe CD edition of The Michael Schenker Group album. This isn’t just a rehash - it’s a resurrection, and it absolutely slaps on wax.
Perfect for collectors, RSD hunters, and fans of top-tier guitar work, this red hot double LP is both a time capsule and a celebration. Get ready to crank it loud - Manchester never sounded so electric.
