About The "Om" Box
In Nepal, Om Mani Padme Hum is more than a chant, it represents a way of life.
It literally translates as “Praise to the jewel in the lotus flower.” The jewel representing compassion or enlightened one, and the lotus representing purity or awakening.
But in the hearts of the people of Nepal, it means more than that. It is living with the right heart, right speech and right mind. It is compassion. It is love. It is a reminder to live in the present. It is a reminder of the ephemeral nature of the world. Ultimately it represents the path to enlightenment and freedom from suffering.
Towards this end, we’ve created a box containing 7 tools for both aspiring Yogis & Buddhist. May its objects grace your sacred space. May the energy of its creators inspire you to one day visit them in the birthplace of Buddha, the land of OM
Contents:
- Traditional Lokta paper card
- A clay offering candle / incense holder
- A bundle of handmade “rope” incense
- A simple wooden 108 bead Mala
- A bar of “Good Karma” soap
- Hand carved wooden Om stamp
- A mystery box containing everything and nothing at all.

About Backpack Buddha
We’re a small company based primarily in Nepal and the USA. From the very start in 2015, we decided we would base our entire business model on good karma. We create original products using eco-friendly materials such as Himalayan hemp, natural stones, wood, and hand made Lokta paper. Our primary goal is to provide meditation tools, self-empowering journals, and other spiritually conscious products that truly help people.
Support Nepal!
Ultimately, every purchase made on Backpack Buddha directly supports the livelihoods of our team of local artisans and craftsmen who assemble our Mala strands, books and backpacks by hand. In addition, we also make the following donations on your behalf. For every Blessed Mala/Jewelry purchased, we make a significant donation to the Woechen Thuk-je Choeling Monastery. Finally, for every copy of Buddha Bear’s Enlightenment Coloring Book, we donate 1 school grade notebook to an underprivileged student in the Kathmandu Valley.
