Hello, I Must Be Going! (Limited Edition, Numbered) is a deluxe reissue of the drummer-turned-pop-icon’s second solo studio album, originally released in 1982. Part of the Analogue Productions Atlantic 75th Anniversary Series, this numbered, audiophile-grade 45 RPM 2LP pressing is a sonic celebration of Collins’ evolution from prog rock stalwart to chart-dominating pop craftsman.
Featuring fan favorites like the Motown homage “You Can’t Hurry Love” and the horn-drenched “I Cannot Believe It’s True”, this album blends heartbreak with rhythmic punch. The moody opener “I Don’t Care Anymore” is a cathartic anthem driven by Collins’ thunderous drumming and raw emotion, while tracks like “Don’t Let Him Steal Your Heart Away” showcase his knack for tender balladry with Beatles-esque melodies.
This edition has been meticulously remastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering, cut from a 1/4" EQ'd Dolby tape copy of the original master tape. Pressed on 180-gram vinyl across two LPs at both Quality Record Pressings and RTI, the result is warm, punchy, and exquisitely detailed—truly the best this album has ever sounded on wax.
Housed in a tip-on, old-style gatefold jacket with lush film lamination by Stoughton Printing, this release is as gorgeous to look at as it is to hear. For longtime fans and vinyl collectors alike, this limited edition reissue is essential.
