【KREMENTZ(クレメンツ)とは】
約150年にわたって続いた、歴史あるジュエリーカンパニー。ドイツ出身のGeorge Krementzがアメリカに移住し、1866年にNYで設立しました。当初はカフスボタンなどのメンズジュエリーを制作。1920年代に女性向けジュエリーの生産を開始すると、非常に優れた金メッキ技術、エレガントな作風で高級コスチュームジュエリーとして瞬く間に人気を博し、高級ブティックやデパートで販売されました。1997年に会社は別会社に買収され、Krementz一族はRichard Krementz Gemstonesを設立しましたが、2012年にRichardが亡くなりKrementz一族によるジュエリービジネスは終了しました。
