The Wave Transformer is an analog, vintage-voiced, voltage-controlled oscillator. Following the success of their initial foray into the Euro game with the acclaimed Afterneath Eurorack module, EarthQuaker Devices pushes the boundaries further with this innovative release.

The Wave Transformer offers over 8 octaves of pitch accuracy, and this vintage-inspired oscillator features seven simultaneous wave outputs, including its "Complex" output. Users are able to harness this module's transformative power he transformative power, using a Transform control that morphs sound from a fundamental waveform into a complex, gnarled mass of audio mutations at the Complex output.

This Eurorack module goes beyond the ordinary with its ability to combine the novel circuit with Hard Sync, Soft Sync, Linear FM, and Exponential FM. The resulting permutations are essentially limitless, allowing the creation of a spectrum of audio variations that can only be described as a harmonically complex waveform.

The Wave Transformer doesn't stop there—its versatility extends to functioning as a harmonic gate/VCA, muting the source waveform to emerge as a unique voice in its own right. The panel controls serve as the command center for shapingsound: Sub Source allows the selection between the internal oscillator and an external signal patched into the Shape Insert for generating sub-octaves. The Sub Octave control offers a choice between 1 octave down, 2 octaves down, or muting sub-octaves. The Complex Source control allows muting and unmuting the source wave for the Complex output.

Precision tuning is also simple with included Tune, Fine Tune, and μTune controls, offering course, fine, and ultra-fine adjustments to the pitch over approximately 7 octaves. The Wave Transformer embraces the minute details with the Pulse Width control, varying the Rectangle output's pulse width from 0% to 100%. The Wave's Inputs section serves as the gateway to external modulation, featuring Hard Sync, Soft Sync, V/Octave, Shape Insert, Lin FM, Expo FM, Pulse Width CV input, Transform CV input, and μTune CV input.
