*Air plant only, cholla pot sold separately

Tillandsia albida minor is fast becoming extinct in its natural habitat in Mexico. Belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, the caulescent plant exhibits stem-like growth. The leaves form a rosette though they are rigid. The silver-colored leaves spiral around the stem. This slow-growing air plant bears crimson-colored inflorescence with cream-colored flowers. Since it is xeric, it loves bright, intense light but not direct. It also prefers good airflow around. The winter dormant air plant exhibits good growth when hung upside down. The Tillandsia albida minor grows to a height of about 15 cm.

Growth Rate

Tillandsia albida minor grows at a slow pace.

Flowering

The plant can flower at any time. Each rosette develops one spiked red-colored inflorescence that bears cream flowers.

Watering and Feeding

The almost extinct species in its natural habitat can be cultivated well by misting the plant two to three times a week. Alternatively, the plant can be submerged in a big bowl filled with tap or rainwater for half an hour. At any cost, this air plant should be dried well, or else it can rot to death.

Soil

Being an air plant, the Tillandsia albida minor attaches to solid substrata like wood, wires, etc., for growth. It takes its nutrients from the air.

Hardiness

The hardiness zones of Albida minor are 9 to 11. It is frost sensitive and cannot withstand temperatures less than 30° to 40°F (-1.1° to 4.4°C).

Light

Albida minor loves a bright sunny environment. Ensure that the light is not direct as it prefers filtered sunlight.

Propagation

Offsets and pups at the base of the plant are best for propagation.

Hung upside down, the Tillandsia albida minor is a show-stopper all the way through. Pick a healthy air plant from Planet Desert and stop the Albida from getting extinct.

So Adorable! Thicker Paper and Fun to Color!
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
The Coco Wyo team has done it again! Another super cute coloring book filled with the cutest characters! The paper is thicker than in previous Coco books, yay! but if you’re using markers you will still want to put paper behind the page you are coloring. Ink bleed through still happens but not as much. Shading: If you want to add shadows on top of the marker areas, the Prismacolor premier soft core colored pencils work beautifully, but be sure to let the paper dry completely first. Update Review Regarding Marker Blending: With the thicker paper you can get away with many rounds of normal blending techniques with both alcohol markers. See the photo of mine with the shooting star. That page has so many layers of marker blending that I lost count, haha and the paper is still in tact! Yay! Creating Highlights: I use Sakura gelly roll pens as well as acrylic paint pens for highlights with no issues. Pro tip: If you’re using gelly roll pens, be sure they are bold 10. That will fit the scale of the art on the page and it won’t get clogged during use. Coloring Tools: I’ve tried using: Copic alcohol markers Tombow water based markers Ohuhu alcohol markers Kingart water based markers Kagito alcohol markers Prismacolor Premier Soft Core colored pencils Sakura GellyRoll Moonlight Bold 10 Pens Shuttleart Acrylic paint pens Everything has worked beautifully and I've been able to successfully achieve nice shading and blending. Note: All of the coloring tools I’ve mentioned above can be found and purchased right here on Amazon. I own lots of Coco books and love coloring in them. Their illustration style is calm and friendly, making coloring in them a relaxing and enjoyable experience. There were only a few pages in this book that I would not find enjoyable to color such as the holiday themed pages. I wish they wouldn't always put holiday themed pages in non-holiday books, but they can easily be removed if you want and this book really only had a few, so still worth purchasing in my opinion. You can tell much thought and care went into creating illustrations that would be fun to color while also helping to reduce stress, which is one of the things we all in the coloring community love about coloring right?! Coloring in Coco books is such a fantastic way to reduce stress and their designs are top notch. A highly recommended coloring book for all ages! I hope you found this review helpful!

Love these books. Better for alcohol markers
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
I like these coloring books because of the designs, thw fact that the back page is empty (thinking of bleeding) and the amount of drawings on the book. Meaning, its worth for the money. These are cute. Alcohol markers: these pages are made for this kind of markers. They blend well. Acrylic markers: these are not the best pages for these markers. Need to re-do strokes to get good coverage. Are not porous enough. Meaning, I can see the strokes on these pages; but, in other type of paper, the acrylic markers work better with single strokes. First picture: acrylic marker (see the strokes) Second picture: bleeding on back of paper (alcohol marker) Third picture: alcohol markers (other Coco Who book)

Grab one of these for some relaxing coloring therapy!
Format: Paperback
such an adorable coloring book! I would recommend this for adults who like to color as well as children. Coloring pages are cute, easy pictures to color -nothing complicated. Everything is large enough to color easily. I look forward to sitting down with this coloring book and getting some stress-free time coloring.
