Dive deep into the aquatic allure of the Fairfield Special KFM Shallow Water pedal, a sound modulator that stands apart from the pack. Unlike your conventional analog chorus/vibrato, this k-field modulator has a unique charm, driven by its ingenious modulation and response mechanism. When activated, it paints the soundscape with an atmosphere that's reminiscent of vintage sounds refined for the modern ear. And if distinctive sounds weren't enough, each limited edition enclosure is unique!

At the heart of its modulation lies a microcontroller emitting random voltage steps at diverse intervals. The RATE knob oversees this randomness, swinging from slow, methodic undulations to quick, spirited shifts. Then there's the DAMP control, dictating the pace of these modulations. At its lowest, you experience swift pitch changes, but crank it up, and you’re introduced to a more measured, chorus-like sound. The DEPTH, meanwhile, determines the intensity of the modulation, with a preference for subtlety – hinting that sometimes less is indeed more.

Once the signal is through the delay, it's greeted by a low pass filter that tracks the signal's envelope. The LPG knob shapes this interaction, allowing for either a reactive lo-fi texture or a sharp gate-like response.

Venturing inside, the pedal houses BOOST and PAD jumpers. While they're set for a guitar's single-coils by default, adjustments can be made to accommodate different signal levels or input impedances. There's also the LPG adjust – a nifty tool to finetune the recovery filter's default frequency, ensuring it responds just the way you like.

Each casing is individually hand-burned, introducing unique patterns that are different from pedal to pedal—Limited to 500 units worldwide. The theme of fire and water hints at the unpredictable sonic footprint of the circuit contained therein.

Nice air filter
Replaced my K&N filter with this KAX filter. Same performance and better mileage.

A Great Filter (Installed on a 2014 Acura RDX)
I installed this on a 2015 Acura RDX and it has been a fine replacement for the original air filter. The filter offers a good value and resembles the filter that it replaced and seems to be an equivalent replacement in every way. It fit into the housing perfectly and was just as easy to replace as the original filter was. The white color of the filter also makes it easy to see if an excess of dirt has built up on the filter. I'd recommend this filter. The materials are good, it offers equivalent functionality, and great value for the money.

Excellent quality and price
The picture above is of two different brand engine air filters. One is a Fram Extra Guard and the other is the KAX filter, which costs half as much. Can you tell which one is the cheaper KAX filter? There may be a difference in material that is not visible, but they feel and look the same. It seems like a safe bet to try out the KAX and see how well it performs/lasts.

Just Right
Fits just right. The paper filter material seems to be the same quality as the brand name filter I took out with the only percievable difference is price and packaging. One nice thing here is that once taken out of the box, the filter is wrapped in light weight plastic so you don't get the new filter dirty when taking out the old one. Just unwrap it prior to installation for a clean install. Hope this helps.

Same Quality, Cheaper Price!
Fits exactly as it should (2018 Acura RDX) and performs as well as any other brand I've used over the years. Construction and material quality appear as good as (or better) than any other off-the-shelf brand. I have no qualms about using this brand in the future and saving money doing so, compared to other brands.
