The Diamond Belle, part of the historic Strater Hotel built in 1888, is one of the few places in the world that still regularly features hot ragtime played live in an authentic saloon setting. Because the magic of the Diamond Belle's 1902 Fischer upright piano just couldn't be replicated in a studio, the Rivermont team went "on location" to record a full evening's worth of entertainment before a live audience so that listeners around the globe can enjoy Swanson's distinctive mixture of piano rags, Tin Pan Alley songs, and other vintage musical treats. This specially-priced 2-CD set contains more than two hours of music and a deluxe 24-page color booklet with copious illustrations and extensive notes by the artist.
