The air temperature was probably -35 degrees Celsius with wind chill. We couldn’t stand still for long. Our brains felt taxed and our bodies were running on empty. On the Football Field not far from the summit, Sue discovered a square of chocolate. We shared it, telling our bodies we didn’t need more. As we continued the descent, the air warmed and filled with oxygen. We began to encounter climbers heading up. Most knew who we were, incredulously asking: â€are you the girls who slept on the summit’? – Karen McNeill, â€A Ridge Too Far: The first female ascent of Denali’s Cassin Ridge’ A schoolgirl races from class to join a weekend trip to the hills. A mountaineering guide recalls his first weeks on the job during the 1920s. A young climber is shown the best route over the Main Divide by a big bull thar. A climbing party is bombarded by falling rock when Ruapehu suddenly erupts. A mountaineer pays tribute to the M?ori guides from south Westland, while a fighter pilot tries to recapture an ascent of the Minarets from his tent in Nigeria during World War II. From the Darrans of Fiordland to Denali in Alaska, New Zealand climbers, both experienced and recreational, have captured their alpine experience in letters, journals, articles, memoirs, poems and novels. Drawing on 150 years of published and unpublished material, Laurence Fearnley and Paul Hersey, two top contemporary authors, have compiled a wide-ranging, fascinating and moving glimpse into New Zealand’s mountaineering culture and the people who write about it.

Good Quality Case!
Color: 1-Navy Blue, Color: 1-Navy Blue
Very durable & nice color. I like that it puts iPad to sleep when closed and wakes when it is opened! It is pretty sleek on the back so holding it up is kind of hard without it slipping out of my hand, that’s the only reason for 4 stars. Otherwise, great case!

This MoKo iPad case is excellent! It fits perfectly and provides great protection without adding bulk. The navy blue color looks very sleek, and the translucent back shell is a nice touch. It’s super magnetic, with great padding. The smart cover works flawlessly with the auto wake/sleep feature, and the cutouts line up perfectly for Touch ID. Lightweight, durable, and a fantastic value!

Great Protective Case for My Mother’s iPad
Color: 2-Watermelon Red, Color: 2-Watermelon Red
I bought this case along with my mother’s new iPad, and it was the perfect choice. The watermelon red color looks beautiful with the pink iPad and gives it a very clean and stylish look. The case feels sturdy without adding too much weight, which makes it comfortable for her to carry around and use every day.
The stand feature works really well for watching videos, reading, and video calls. I also like that the case supports the auto wake and sleep function, which makes the iPad feel even more convenient and easy to use. The cutouts fit perfectly, and Touch ID still works without any issues.
The translucent back is a nice touch because it still lets the iPad color show through while keeping it protected from scratches and bumps. Overall, this case exceeded expectations and makes a great addition for anyone wanting both protection and style for their iPad.

Good value and perfect fit. I don’t care about the color so I bought the least expensive. It’s a nice blue.
