Lithite meteorites are composed of iron-nickel alloys and silicate minerals.
The rocky part of a lithite meteorite that contains olivine (peridot) is called a parasite meteorite.
Of all the meteorites that fall to earth, only about 1% are found, making this an extremely rare specimen.
This one is a mixture of metallic iron and minerals, and it is said to be impossible to produce on Earth, where gravity exists.
So how did this parasitic meteorite come into being?
It is thought that they form near the boundary between the metallic core of a planet that existed in the solar system in the past and was subsequently destroyed, and the silicate layer that exists above that metallic core.
Perhaps a beautiful layer of parasite may have formed on Earth.
And maybe there are not olivine but other minerals in them.
This mineral makes us want to imagine about such mysteries of the earth.
