- The fuel pump priming procedure outlined in the installation instructions must be performed after the fuel pump and filter replacement are complete and prior to first engine cranking.
- This process ensures that all air is cleared from the fuel system, allowing the pump to build adequate fuel pressure.
- Failure to follow this procedure will result in low fuel feed pressure, a long start engine, and pump damage.
